It was indeed the Medieval Ages that paved the way for the beginning of Renaissance. Historians found that the people of the Medieval Ages were advanced in culture and produced masterpieces in art, literature, science, and medicine. Cultural relationships also became strong during the Medieval Ages. It is believed that Renaissance scholarship flourished in the Medieval Ages. It is interesting to note that the Medieval Ages is also called by the name Medieval Times. Historians feel that the formation of East Francia was represented by the Medieval Ages. Its major territories, namely, East and West Francia became the modern countries of France and Germany. The empire founded by Charles the Great did not survive his death. Medieval Ages, or Middle Ages, is the period from 5th to 15th century (476 AD to 1600 AD) in the European history. This is the period between the fall of the Roman Empire and the High Middle ages. Historians roughly fix the period as the period of Early Middle Ages. Dark Ages refers to the period characterized by the deterioration in the economic and cultural situations in Europe. The Medieval Ages refer to the period from 5th to 15th century. So, dark ages and middle ages belong to the history of Europe. Each region has their own historical period as the Chinese have periods such as Shang Dynasty and Ming Dynasty. First of all, it should be mentioned that both of these are historical periods associated with Europe. Difference between dark ages and medieval ages must be a new and interesting topic if you are not much acquainted with the knowledge about history.
